KSNJ (An Indian American Social and Cultural Organization)

We are a social and cultural organization whose focus is to help foster and maintain the cultures of "God's Own Country" in New Jersey. Steeped in tradition, Kerala has an abundance of culture including classical arts. With no religious affiliations, KSNJ strives to strengthen the Malayalee-American community while preserving our cultures and traditions for future generations.

Recognizing the need for an organization under which the Malayalees residing in  New Jersey could come together under the umbrella of Federation of Malayalee Associations of Americas (FOMAA) for Cultural and social enrichment, a non-profit, charitable organization called 'The Kerala Samajam of New Jersey' is established.

The organization was started in April of 2010 under the leadership of Sebastian V Joseph(President), Sebastian Cherumadathil(vice President),Daniel John(vice president for bylaws),Civichan Joseph(Secretary), Justin Thekkedam (Assistant Secretary), Thomas. M .Thomas(Treasurer),Sibi Kuruvilla,(Assistant Treasurer) The founding committee members were Annamma Mappilaserry , Tomy Thomas, Syriac Kurian, Oommen Thomas and Philip Abraham.

KSNJ was officially inaugurated on May 12-2010 by the then President of FOMAA Mr.John Titus.

We strive to expand awareness about Indians, particularly Kerala natives, to the communities around us and share our knowledge of traditional Indian music and art.
